Application Deadline: December 1, 2007
Applications must arrive in our office by December 1, 2007 in order to be considered for the upcoming year. Applications will be accepted for review from September 1 through December 1.

Judging
A panel of distinguished judges in and outside of Hearst newspapers will review applications in late January and select 12 finalists. These finalists will be invited to participate in a two-day interview process at the Houston Chronicle in March/April.

Orientation
Those selected for a Hearst Fellowship will take part in an orientation session in late August.

First Rotation
Starting in September, Fellows will begin their first rotation at assigned newspapers. Usually, Fellows will have four rotations during their tenure in the program.

Graduation
Hearst Fellowship is a two-year program and Fellows graduate in August of their last year.
